Good Idea ..Isn't?

I travelled with BA airways 2 weeks back from london to chennai,Due to some system failure almost 70% of the baggage were delayed which resulted in a huge queue in the lost baggage complaint helpdesk .

I was also there in that ,One of the BA representative asked me the following questions

1.How does your bag look like ? She showed some sample pictures ...(Heavy ,Small etc ..
2.What brand is your bag ?...

Honesty , I did not know the brand of my bag (Dont blame me ...men are from mars..) ,Later i realized it is a good ideato take the pic (simply in the mobile phone or in the digicam ) of the bags before we travel for a handy reference.Airlines too should do this ,just a digital click can honestly save a lot of time to avoid looking at the wrong holes ....

Lives caught in web

The more we are into the web ,the more web conquers our life ,Everytime we click ,we search ,we type we aresurrendering ourselves a pattern to the web .Well , i would say we surrender ourselves to google.

Let's see how this happens .The no of google products i use are gmail,google reader ,google documents,picassa,youtube,google search ,google blog ,google maps ,google groups,orkut.In one or another way all thes productmakes me a regular vistior by taking the information ,recording ,processing and giving more back to me ...

Let say you have a subscription with a job site your gmail id ,Now google already know what kind of jobs are you looking for and recommend more with those relevant words etc etc ...so somebody is already watching whats going inand out of your mail box and thus knowing what you are upto in life ..Please also google knows who your contacts are too so it might take a simple alogorithm to let your contacts know what you are upto and vice versa...

Lets say you are a regular watcher of youtube and google knows the kind of videos you watch and your likes ,tastes,inclindation to furthur recommend you the similar one's ..and knows extacly what your eyes wanna ..catch and watch..

and with the google web history...google exactly knows our search history ,patterns and thus giving a wide viewabout ourself which we may not be aware of .It is all just a data intelligence and i would say web/google now-a-days acts as our own data intelligence..

and with google reader,our subcription patterns ,at what day we read the most and what time we read the most etc etc to the minute level of ..data tracking results in defining our own personality ..

It is not very far to let the web intelligence to completely rule us..unless we ourselves keeps this limited in our lives

i would wanted to write a lot of things in www.Is that for attracting a audience (or) Is that for fame ..?is that offloading the ideas and opinions i have without dumping into someone's mind or is that for something which im yet to understand .Whatever but certainly writing the joy ,experience,observations,pain,ideas and whatever .. in form of words has a degree of happiness in it.i will keep flowing......henceforth little consistently...

Meet Joe Black

What will happen when death one day comes to you and you can sense that ,Would you embrace it? Would you be afraid of it? and what if if you get a chance to hang around with it for a while before it takes you .....hmm ...this is intresting or scaring ?..I liked the storyline very much and the movie is "Meet Joe Black" .Yesterday i saw this movie and it did not disappoint me rather kept me ON for one more time.

Top three things that kept me engrossed are

Stupendous performance by antony hopkins (Bill Parrish)
A delicious background score (Thomas newman)
A stunned performance by Claire Forlani(Susan)

I also noticed Thomas newman has been nomiated for oscars almost every alternate year and never won one and this time he is been beaten by ARR.

It happend close to 10 years back when i was studying in my final year of college .The last year filled with complete fun ,Knowing that we are going to part we lived life to the fullest .I still remember the sameday (6th Feb 1999) a bunch of friends had gone to a temple and took a oath of meeting every year the same day on the same place .Well ,emotion carried us that moment and we did not realize how unrealistic was that.Whenever i think about that it brings a sense of joy and sorrow togeather.

Now all of us floating in different boats moving towards differnt horizons.But every year we do remember of this day and rejoce that moment we had 10 years back and rejocing today too on 6th Feb 2009.

Google Reader

Recent days i started using Google reader more efficiently .If you are a regular reader of articles from various different sites ...A reader will make your reading easy and can save a lot of time .

It is just like if you pop in to a library and if the librarian gives a customised book which contains all your faviourite pages from various different magazines it will save your time in roaming around to find your favourites.Simply 'All your favorites in ONE'. and You dont need to go behind your favorites ...your favorites will be behind you .

It is better than the subscriptions as it does not flood your mail box.

Almost all the sites has separate RSS feed these days for various different sessions .All you need to do is chose the RSS feed and just add it to the google reader and skim the details directly from the google reader.
